I just don't get why everyone at my office comes up to me like I am the all time Sports God and asks me if "we" should start worrying about the Sox. They are all worried because the Yankees are gaining on us, but I told them they are very hot right now and we just aren't. Things will turn out fine, and we're in the playoffs if we win just 3 games. Who cares if we win the division. Sure it'd be nice, but we won the Series before being the Wild Card.
That said, I just walk around and tell them to find something else to worry about, like if the Patriots will ever even lose once this season. The Sox will bounce back, we are just fighting injuries and fatigue, and the Yanks will cool off.
I know it's only one game for both teams, but it appears I am right (at least for one day) as the Sox lead it 4-1 in the 8th in a game that pitching has been awesome for us, while the Yanks are getting the short end of the stick from the Jays right now by the same score, but in the 9th.
We'll see who has the pitching in October. I ain't skeeerd.
