ESPN is really on their game this week...sorta.
First the NBA Trade Machine, and now a Sports Guy Glossary. Being an avid and loyal reader of Simmons, I don't really need it, but it's a fantastic reference, and sometimes I just like to pop into his archives and just read; however, one thing is wildly upsetting: I'd say 90% of his articles you need to be an ESPN Insider to read, which means you need to pay ESPN to read them. A better free way is to take the title of his article along with his name and throw it into Google and see if you can find it there cached for free. I bet you can. It's not Simmons' fault, it's ESPNs.
Some people think I bought the domain name to copy Simmons, but that isn't the case. My buddies and I aren't trying to emulate him, we're just from Boston or the surrounding area and happen to love talking about Boston sports. That's it. I came up with many domains and bounced them off my buddy Flack and Steve and this one just seemed to work for us. Simmons is at a level that is unattainable and is a rare read, we'd never try to duplicate that.
In honor of the Boston Sports Guy, I present to you the glossary of his articles. Enjoy.
