Breaking News: Pats offensive coordinator McDaniels hired as head coach of Broncos

It's being reported that Patriots Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels has just been hired as the head coach of the Denver Broncos. Terms are not being reported at this time.

Some may think the gaudy offensive numbers Brady and Moss put up last season are the reason why so many teams were after McDaniels; however, the real testament to his worthiness is what he did this season with QB Matt Cassel, who pushed the Patriots to an 11-5 record and almost into the playoffs.

This will just add another wrinkle into the contentious rivalry between the Broncos and the Patriots, who are scheduled to play each other in Denver in the 2009 season.

Tebow will come back for his Senior season

It's a rarity for me to "like" a Florida Gator. I've been a Florida State fan for as long as I can remember, and it's just not in my blood to like them; however, Tim Tebow is growing on me.

Maybe it's because Urban Meyer is BFFs with Bill Belichick. Maybe it's because the Pats have a knack for drafting former Gators. Or maybe its because Tebow is a rarity in all of college football.

It's not just about his numbers - simply put they are staggering. It's about his poise, posture, and maturity...off the field.

It's not just about his volunteer mission work in the Phillipines. Or his countless hours of community service. It's the fact that he wants to do it. He doesn't want the credit for it. He wants to feel like he is making a difference.

And that's what fueled him coming back to Florida for his Senior season. Not just because he wants to win another title and improve his draft stock to the naysayers. Not just because he likes the college lifestyle. It's because he feels a strong sense of loyalty to his team and teammates. He wants to make a difference.

And he will.
