The Boston Celtics had almost a 39% chance of getting either the number 1 or 2 pick in the NBA Lottery Draft. The luck of the Irish clearly did not go their way remotely, landing them at the 5th pick overall, with Portland really hitting it big winning the chance to select first overall, followed by Seattle, Atlanta, Memphis, and then Boston.
Going into the Lottery, the Blazers had a 5.3% chance of winning the # 1, and they did it. They will surely snag Greg Oden out of Ohio State, Seattle will grab Kevin Durant from Texas, and Boston will stab me in the heart and take Joakim Noah from Florida, and then I'll never watch another C's game again.
This is a dark day in Boston, my friends.
