Hideki Okajima was voted to the All-Star roster last night after receiving more than 3.2 million votes from the fans. He’ll be representing the Boston Red Sox proudly, beating out some no name guy on the Twins the Yankee Faithful tried to get behind and push ahead of him. His selection gives the Sox 6 players on the roster, more than any other team in the league, joining pitchers Josh Beckett and Jonathan Papelbon, and the Yard Boys David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, and Mike Lowell. It’s a shame Kevin Youkilis didn’t make the team, but as long as Ortiz is being Ortiz, it will be hard for him to sneak onto the team.
