New England Patriots Linebacker Tedy Bruschi isn't ready to settle down with the family and retire yet. Bruschi and the Patriots have agreed to terms on an undisclosed multi-year contract, meaning the fan favorite and heart and soul of the defense will be playing the middle for at least two years.
After the major shakeup in the roster lately, it's good to find some stability, especially in the linebacking corps. After cutting Rosie Colvin and bench warmer Oscar Lua, it looked like the Pats had the potential to lose even more if Bruschi retired and if Seau decides to not return. Mike Vrabel and Adalius Thomas would have been the only recognizable name from this past season at linebacker. |
Free agency begins in less than 90 minutes. Here's hoping Randy Moss is still a Patriot when I wake up. Even though there are rumors he has a 3 year, $30 million deal in place, I'll believe it when the ink is dry and I read it on Boston.com and ESPN.
