The Miami Dolphins signed Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long to a multiyear contract and will select him with the No. 1 overall pick in Saturday's draft. The contract is for five years, $57.75 million, with $30 million guaranteed.
Rather than find themselves in the same situation the Raiders did last year with No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell, who held out well into the year, the Dolphins shored up Long well in advance to the draft even starting.
Now Miami fans are left wondering what could have been if Brady Quinn was actually drafted instead of Ted Ginn…
